Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Lince Savings account, the Lince LTD app for iOS and Android, and what happens to your data when you do.

Before you start

To delete your account, you first need to withdraw all your money and wait for any operations in progress (deposits, withdrawals or strategy changes) to finish. If there is a balance or an open operation left, we will tell you, and the account will not be deleted until it is resolved.

From the app

  • Open the Lince app and log in.
  • Go to Settings > Account > Delete account.
  • Read what is deleted and confirm with “Delete my account”.

From the web, without installing the app

  • Go to https://savings.lince.finance and log in with the same email address you use in the app.
  • Go to Settings > Account > Delete account.
  • Read what is deleted and confirm with “Delete my account”.

By email

If you cannot access your account, write to us at info@lince.finance from the email address you signed up with and ask us to delete it. We will reply with the steps to follow.

What is deleted

  • Your personal data, except for what is listed in the next section.
  • The bank accounts you have saved.
  • Your wallet: its address stops working for good, and anything sent to it afterwards is lost.
  • Access to the account: you will no longer be able to log in with it.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Your email address, your name and your country, which anti-money laundering regulations require us to keep.
  • Your identity verification data, under the same obligation.
  • The transactions made (deposits and withdrawals), with no personal data attached.
  • Your @username stays reserved and nobody else can use it.

The email address, name, country and identity verification data are kept for 5 years from the deletion of the account, the period required by anti-money laundering regulations, and are deleted afterwards. During that time they are not used for any other purpose.
